Marc Gicquel (born March 30, 1977 in Tunis, Tunisia)
is a professional male tennis player from France. He
turned pro in 1999.
On November 6, 2006, Gicquel broke into the top 50
after reaching his first ATP Tour final in Lyon,
where he was defeated by Richard Gasquet, his
countryman. On April 30, 2007, Gicquel broke into
the top 40 after reaching the semifinals of
Casablanca.
He defeated second seed Tommy Robredo at the 2007
Grand Prix de Tennis de Lyon in the first round and
beat Alejandro Falla in the semifinals to reach the
Lyon final for two years running.
