Bethanie Mattek (born 23 March 1985, in Rochester,
Minnesota) is an American professional tennis player
who competes on the WTA Tour. She lives in Miami,
Florida. She reached the second round at the 2007
Wimbledon Championships before falling 7-6, 6-4 to
Svetlana Kuznetsova.
She earned her best victory in the Memphis
tournament in 2008, where she managed to take out
second seed Tatiana Golovin in straight sets, 6-4,
6-4. She will play Julia Goerges in the second
round.
