Stephen Weiss (born 3 April 1983 in Toronto,
Ontario) is a Canadian ice hockey centreman who
currently plays for the Florida Panthers of the NHL.
Weiss was drafted 4th overall by the Florida
Panthers in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Weiss has
played 175 career NHL games, scoring 28 goals and 45
assists for 73 points. Weiss played his junior
career with the Plymouth Whalers and recorded
statistics that impressed scouts and made him one of
the highest selections in the North American Central
Scouting Report. He is currently single although he
was previously engaged. This engagement ended in
2006.
