Miroslav Satan   September 30, 2007               Miroslav Šatan (born October 22, 1974 in Topoľčany, Czechoslovakia) is a professional ice hockey player who plays for the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League. The proper Slovak pronunciation of his name is SHAH-tahn, but North Americans usually pronounce it "Shuh-TAN".
