David Krejčí (born April 28, 1986) of ternberk,
Czech Republic is a professional ice hockey player
who currently plays center for the Boston Bruins of
the National Hockey League. He was the Bruins' first
pick in the second round of the 2004 Entry draft
(63rd overall).
On January 30, 2007, he played in his first NHL game
in a 7-1 loss against the Buffalo Sabres where he
recorded 2:07 of ice time. Krejčí received a
concussion from Buffalo's Adam Mair during his third
shift.
Currently, he has been selected to start with the
Boston Bruins in the 07-08 season.
On February 19, 2008 Krejci was involved in a
shootout tie-breaker round, in a Bruins road game
against the Carolina Hurricanes, and scored his
first-ever NHL goal of any kind in the shootout
which, along with another shootout goal from fellow
Bruin forward Phil Kessel, won the Bruins the game
with a 3-2 score. Krejci then scores his first NHL
goal a week later, on February 26, 2008 against
Martin Gerber of the Ottawa Senators, as the second
Bruins goal in a 4-0 home ice shutout.
