Alex Pietrangelo (born January 18, 1990 in King City, Ontario) is a Canadian junior ice hockey player. He currently plays for the Niagara IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League.

Alex grew up in King City, Ontario and played his minor hockey for the Richmond Hill Stars, Vaughan Kings and Toronto Jr. Canadians. He was a member of the Vaughan Kings All-Ontario Peewee Championship team in 2003 and the Toronto Jr. Canadians All-Ontario Bantam Championship team in 2005. He also played some high school hockey for Villanova - a private school based in King City.

Pietrangelo was drafted 3rd overall by the Mississauga IceDogs in the first round of the 2006 OHL draft. He moved with the team to Niagara in 2007.

Pietrangelo was picked to play for Team Canada at World Under 18 "Memorial of Ivan Hlinka" where he was one of the alternate captains. The team finished fourth

In September 2007, he was named CHL Player of the Week after recording three goals and four assists in two games.

In December 2007, TSN ranked Pietrangelo third in their list of the players most likely to be taken in #1 the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. International Scouting Services ranked him sixth among draft prospects from the OHL describing him as a "tremendous specimen in terms of size and skills."
