Sam Hurd (born April 24, 1985 in San Antonio, Texas)
is an American football wide receiver in the NFL for
the Dallas Cowboys. Sam Hurd is the son of Sameul
Hurd Jr. and Gloria Hurd. He has five brothers and
sisters and a wife Stacee Hurd.
Against the Houston Texans in the 2006 season, Hurd
recorded his first NFL reception on Tony Romo's
first NFL pass (34 yards). Four weeks later, Hurd
got his first start against the Arizona Cardinals
recording four catches for 42 yards and also caught
a touchdown pass that was negated due to offensive
pass interference against Patrick Crayton. He ended
the 2006 season with 5 catches for 75 yards and
collected 11 tackles while also forcing 2 fumbles
along with recovering 2 fumbles, while playing on
special teams.
