Clifton George Dawson (born October 8, 1983 in Scarborough, Ontario) is an American football running back who currently plays for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League. He was originally signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football at Harvard.

Dawson attended Birchmount Park Collegiate in Toronto, Canada and was a good student and a letterman in football and track. In football, as a senior, he led his team to the Toronto City Championship, was named as the Team's Most Valuable Player, and was an All-Canada selection.

Dawson briefly attended Northwestern University before opting to transfer to Harvard. He is the all-time Ivy League career rushing leader with 4,841 yards. He was a four time 1st Team All-Ivy League selection. He is also the 8th player in NCAA Division I history to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season 4 times. Dawson majored in Economics while at Harvard.

Though he was not selected during the 2007 NFL Draft, Dawson was drafted in the sixth round of the 2006 Canadian Football League draft by the Toronto Argonauts. He signed as a free agent by the Indianapolis Colts after the conclusion of the draft. He was one of the team's final cuts, but was subsequently signed by the Bengals. He made his NFL debut on September 16, 2007.

On September 25, he was released by the Bengals. On September 27, he was again signed by the Colts.
