Christopher J. Chambers (born August 12, 1978 in
Cleveland, Ohio) is an American football wide
receiver for the San Diego Chargers of the National
Football League. He was drafted by the Miami
Dolphins in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft.
He played college football at Wisconsin.
Chambers attended Bedford High School in Bedford,
Ohio. While there, he was a three-sport letterman in
football, basketball, and track. In football, he won
All-America accolades and was a two-time all-state
selection. In basketball, he was a third-team
all-state performer as a senior. In track, he won
the state championship in the 400-meter dash as a
senior with a time of 47.1 seconds. He was a high
school teammate of former Wisconsin Badgers teammate
and current Buffalo Bills wide receiver Lee Evans.
