Eddie Gill (born August 16, 1978 in Aurora,
Colorado) is an American professional basketball
player, he is currently playing for the NBA's New
Jersey Nets. Gill went undrafted after a college
career at Weber State University, and began his pro
career with the New Jersey Nets, going on to play
for the Memphis Grizzlies, Portland Trail Blazers
and Indiana Pacers. He has averaged 3.8 points per
game over his NBA career.
Playing for the Nets in a game against the Boston
Celtics, on the 15th of April, 2001, he scored the
eight millionth point in NBA history.
Gill also played for the IBL's Las Vegas Silver
Bandits, the ABA's Kansas City Knights and Dakota
Wizards, the NBDL's Asheville Altitude, in Greece
with Ionikos A.F. Athens, and in Italy with Reggio
Emilia and Paf Bologna (2001, won the Italian
League). On October 1, 2007, Gill signed with the
New Jersey Nets but was waived on October 25th of
that year.
After a brief stint as a free agent, Gill was
selected first overall in the NBDL draft by the
Colorado 14ers on November 1, 2007. Fifteen days
later on November 16th, Gill was signed again by the
Nets due to injury to Darrell Armstrong. In 2007 he
played in the Russian Basketball league for the
Dynamo Moscow.
