Joseph "Joe" Thatcher (born October 4, 1981 in Kokomo, Indiana is Major League Baseball pitcher for the San Diego Padres. Nicknamed "The Prime Minister," he is 6'2" tall and weighs 230 lbs. In college he pitched for Indiana State University. He made his debut with the Padres on July 26, 2007 in Houston against the Astros. During the off season Joe resides in Kokomo, Indiana.His sister Anne is a senior guard for the Indiana State University Women's Basketball team. He is the son of Phil and Sarah Thatcher and his father also pitched in college.
